Canned Food and Dry Goods: The economic recession is hurting most nonprofits from large to small.  For many years, we have relied on the generosity of the North Texas Food Bank to help offset the cost of food at Promise House.  But with donations being down at the food bank, we have had to increase our spending on canned food and dry goods.  Help us stop this increase in spending by holding a canned food drive.  Specifically, we are in need of:

 Canned Food

  • Green beans
  • Sliced potatoes
  • Whole kernel corn
  • Green peas
  • Mixed vegetables
  • Fruit cocktail
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Chili
  • Nacho cheese

 Dry Goods

  •  Beans
  • Rice
  • Potatoes
  • Cereals
  • Chips
  • Breakfast bars

Activity Supplies

  •  Cookie decorating kits (holiday themed)
  • Chocolate-covered pretzel making kits
  • New mixing bowls
  • New baking sheets
  • New blender for smoothies
